My Turangawaewae

Hello, this week for writing we had 2 goals. They were plan effectively, where appropriate, using a variety of strategies and use “show not tell” when appropriate. We had to think about where we our Turangawaewae is and write about it. But the challenge was we couldn't say the name of it. Here is mine, try guess where it is.

You walk into a fresh field as the birds start singing and the sun welcomes you in. You see 2 teams play a game of rugby. But the only team scoring tries is wearing Green and Black. You start to play and you love it. Scoring Tries and putting on hits. You end the game with chips and cheers. You lie down and dig into your chips and coke. You hear your mates yelling. “Chug Chug Chug!” You finished your chips and decided to leave. The Flag smiles and waves you goodbye. Now you know what the bullring feels like.

Where do you think it is? (I'll Give you a hint, I live in Christchurch.)

Kowhaiwhai pattern

 Welcome back,

This week for maths we did Kowhaiwhai patterns. They are Maori swirls and stuff. First we had to use Koru Patternes to show that we know about enlargement, translation, rotation and reflection. Enlargment is when you make something bigger, translation is where you move something, rotation is rotating on an angle and finally reflection is just like a mirro. We also had to make a Kowhaiwhai patterns.

These are my DLO
