Kindess matters, So lets show it.

Ladies and Gentlemen you are about to witness to best blog in the world.
PBL - Term 1

This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?

First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan and we came up with a idea that would get the Kakano kids and teachers happy. We thought about for a long time that we were going to do something like a bake sale. But with only cookies and lemonade. The thing that made us change our minds to doing games with Kakano was the teachers. They convinced us to bring the junior community into the school. So that gave us the idea of doing games. We found out that their was another group doing the same thing so we joined with them.

Reflection:
For our final product our group came up with doing fun and sensible games for the juniors. Doing exercise is great for the body.

We built a community with the junior school. We gave the kids lollipops. That means when they see us they will say we are the people that gave them lollipops.

I contributed by instructing them and I emailed the teachers to let them know what was going on.

I think the PBL might impact on others by learning new faces and games for the future.

What I learned about working with others was that sometimes it can be a struggle to work with them but at the end of the day we got the job done.

If you were in Kakano would you like to do games. If you would, what games.

  1. Well done Ethan. Sometimes working with others can be challenging but it is good to find ways around this and as you said you got the job done.
