Dear Henry Martino,
I am writing this because I am very disappointed in the way that you made me go to War. I had to leave my family and I might never see them again. It stinks at War. The stress levels are so high I can’t even tell you about it. Not going to sleep because of having the thought of being night raided or if we left to go to another location. Why didn’t you have to go to War. Why didn’t we just stay in our country and if they come to us then we protect. I could of done what you doing. You can hardly eat and who you said would be the best person go shot 2 weeks ago. I hope you get this and realised to bring us home.

Sincerely, Excited Ethan.

What do you think about WW1?

Living in the Trenches!!!!!

For writing we are doing letter writing we had to write a letter to someone in our family about how we were in the Trenches in WW1. This is an informal letter. The other letter is called a formal letter. The difference is the start of it. For a formal you would do you email addres and other stuuff but for an imformal you don't. Here is mine hope you enjoy.

 Dear Dad HELP ME!

It is disgusting in these trenches. Every 10 seconds a pile of mud falls on me. We are always on the move moving from trench to trench. I can hardly sleep, scared of any night attacks. We are all tired so the trenches get smaller and smaller. Coll is panicking because the last 3 nights we had to eat Rats the size of Cats. And don’t even get me started on the smell. Anthony died a couple of days ago and he still stinks. I hope Ben is not getting any more Ducks in Cricket. I heavily regret coming to this war. I miss very much. My job is to clean out the mud. Coll is to get more ammo ( I got the easier job.)

Hopefully see you soon, Ethan.

Have you ever done an imformal or a formal letter before?

Ladies before Gentleman.

On 29th of October my hub was lucky enough to go to Ferrymead. It was a long trip there with alot of narrow roads. When we got to Ferrymead there was a man that looked liked Willy Wonka with polished shoes and alot of hair jel. He told us 4 rules. Ladies before Gentleman, take care of your shoes, no hands in pockets and children can be seen but not heared.

We had to get change into olden day clothes. Then we where put into groups, in my group there was Me, Archie, Lucas, Jimi, Lewis and Charile. We looked very weird because we were wearing 3/4 pants. Also we were still wearing our summer clothes underneath so it was very hot. We did alot of things but my favourite was the movie theater. I was up the front of the very small theater it was about cooking.

INVENTION CONVENTION!!

This Term for PBL our driving question was. : How can Invention change our lifes? First we looked a guy called Joseph Machines and he gave us an idea on what we were doing, then we had to pic an evolution of something, me and my friends pick the evolution of Music. This is the slide.

Then we had to pick something that has changed our lifes and my group picked the BIKE! Finally we got to choose what product we would create , we had to think of a problem and then make a solution to it. My group made a coke can opener shaped like a Kiwi because we are from New Zealand. This is what it looked like, this is my action plan.

To a galaxy far far away, THE MUSEUM!

On Monday the 16th of September my hub were lucky enough to go to the Museum. It was so fun!!! First my had Me, Lucas C, Alexis, Zoe, Jimi, Jack, Archie F and Gabriella. We were allowed to look around the Museum while the other 2 homebases learned. My group went out to lunch first. So we tried to capture seagulls. Then once the other groups we had to leave and do the learning. We learnt how the Maori used inavation to get food and make fire. Then we had a chance to do it ourselfs. I would like to thank the workers at the Museum and the parent help.

Have you ever been to the Museum?
